Besides producing and selling pure cultured yeast, White Labs
provides an extensive array of lab services and testing. The lab’s
Gas Chromatograph machine can test for ethanol percentage and VDK (Diacetyl).
Future plans include testing for esters, particularly ethyl acetate,
which will be useful as another tool to confirm yeast purity and
