Yeast Propagation Technician
Davis, CA
Primary job would contribute to the high quality assurance measures involved with yeast propagation within the production team. Applicant should have experience with sterile/sanitation techniques and quality control/quality assurance. Position will be responsible for all steps of satellite yeast production, including small and large-scale propagations and quality control testing of yeast.
Principle Duties and Required Skills
• Perform yeast propagation including starting of lab-scale propagations and transfer to
large-scale propagations
• Harvest and package propagated yeast
• Perform quality control testing of in-process and final yeast
• Confirm yeast culture QC & release products for packaging
• Complete and maintain quality assurance documents and logs
• Coordinate with the Production Supervisor and Quality Assurance Team on potential
quality control issues and deviations
• Communicate quality variances to Quality Assurance Team and implement proposed
action plans
• Attend Production staff meetings and Quality Assurance Team meetings, as necessary
• Perform accurate, high quality work with great attention to detail
• Perform duties independently and in an organized manner

Regional Production & Technical Sales Coordinator
Davis, CA
This is a hybrid position where the primary job would contribute to the high quality assurance
measures involved with yeast propagation as well as ensure the implementation of all sales and marketing programs for the entire WL portfolio. Applicant should have experience with
sterile/sanitation techniques, quality control/quality assurance, brewing and/or fermentation .
Position will be responsible for assisting with satellite yeast production as well as coordinating local sales efforts.

CSRs perform their job using a variety of platforms including the telephone, email, a customized online tracking and ordering system and in-person visits.

Production Assistant

White Labs Inc. is seeking a Production Assistant to assist production staff within the yeast propagation facility.
Duties include preparation of stock materials, washing & sanitizing production materials & lab ware, autoclaving materials, and aiding with weekly maintenance of production equipment.
Applicants may assist with pre-packaging for shipping department. Qualified candidates should be able to follow established written protocols, possess good manual dexterity. Trouble-shooting capabilities and knowledge of large-scale mechanical systems a plus.
This position will be in a warehouse environment, non-smoking with moderate noise and heat.
Some of this position’s responsibilities include:
• Follow established written protocols for general production tasks
• Washing production equipment and labware
• Help in the preparation of stock materials: malt, water, tanks, flasks, etc.
• Ready materials for autoclaving
• Autoclave production materials
• Sanitize appropriate production equipment
• Assist production technicians with fermentation processes
• Assist with weekly maintenance of production equipment
• Observe and report any malfunction of equipment in production areas

The primary duties of the Quality Assurance Technician at White Labs is environmental monitoring of the facility, conducting internal and external audits, equipment validations, equipment calibrations, data analysis and reporting, quality systems maintenance, regulatory compliance, independent projects, and completing any support duties required. Additionally, this position is responsible for raw material testing, ensuring staff compliance with standard operating procedures, maintenance of staff training logs and troubleshooting deviations from product quality standards.

Tasting Room Associate
Part-time, San Diego, CA
The White Labs’ Tasting Room Attendant is responsible primarily for serving, setting-up, and clean-up of all tasting room functions. He/She is expected to provide exceptional beverage service to all guests. Attendant must follow the company's and ABC alcoholic beverage policies; and is attentive to guests, making them feel welcome, at all times. This is a fast paced position that will involve constant customer interaction.
This position’s principal duties and required skills include:
• Greets guests entering and exiting in a friendly and courteous manner
• Take beverage orders, provide beverage information, serve beer, & collect money for drinks served.
• Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
• Batch credit card receipts & balance daily receipts
• Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons.
• Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
• Reports needed repairs, missing articles, damage or mechanical problems and equipment, or unsafe conditions to Lead Tasting Room Associate.
• Serve snacks to customers at the bar
• Fill out order or requisition sheet for beer & supplies.
• Clean bar & floor daily as needed & as part of closing procedure.
• Restock merchandise, apparel and bar supplies.
• Must be comfortable giving presentations to large groups.
Minimum Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be 21 years of age
