Executive Assistant

The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing general office and administrative support to executives. 
Principal Duties and Required Skills
• Completes a broad variety of administrative tasks including: composing and preparing correspondence, answering phones, data entry and editing documents.
• Schedules, plans and follows up on meetings and appointments using Google Calendar.
Facilitates and takes notes during meetings.
• Makes travel arrangements (flight, hotel, transportation, etc.).
• Prepares for Vice President’s and Head of Laboratory Operations travel by packing all necessary merchandise.
• Processes travel and business expenses using Certify software.
• Prepares and edits PowerPoint presentations.
• Maintains discretion and confidentiality in regards to company information.
• Updates projects, assignments and sends reminders on Smartsheet software.
• Conducts research for special projects.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year administrative experience.
• Ability to type at least 50 words per minute.
• Intermediate knowledge software applications; including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
• High level organization skills and ability to multi-task.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

SALES-CUSTOMER SERVICE

Sales Director
San Diego, CA, or Asheville, NC 
Under direction from the President and Vice President, the Director of Sales is responsible for providing leadership and coordination of all sales functions within the company. The Director of Sales will monitor and analyze sales trends, develop and implement national sales plans and oversee the Territory Sales Managers & Customer Service teams.
Principal Duties and Required Skills:
• Determines annual unit and gross profit plans.
• In collaboration with the Marketing Manager, implements marketing strategies, analyzing trends and results.
• Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
• Implements national sales programs by implementing field sales action plans.
• Maintains sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors.
• Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply & demand.
• Completes national sales operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
• Provides coaching and counseling to Territory Sales Managers to ensure sales results are being achieved.
• Calculates quarterly commissions for national sales staff.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing national professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
Education/Experience Requirements:
• BS/BA Degree
• MBA/Masters Degree (preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience with minimum of 2 years of inside sales
• Minimum 5 years of strategic sales management & business to business sales experience
• Prior experience managing a business development budget
• Ability to understand a value proposition of a service offering and identify all opportunities to effectively communicate this offering to key management and executive team.
• Demonstrated ability to sell consultatively to C-Level executives in person.

Territory Sales Manager
White Labs is looking for a highly motivated and innovative Sales Representative / Territory Manager to join our expanding sales team in the East Coast and Asia Pacific regions. This individual must be highly motivated, have high energy, and have an entrepreneurial spirit to sell, train, manage, and drive new business revenue.  This position is full-time, salaried and you will be telecommuting at first, with offices to commence shortly after.
Sales Manager Job Duties:

• Extensive customer visits in the territory and technical support.

Customer Service Representative

White Labs’ is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, detail oriented, and organized individual for the position of Customer Service Representative (CSR). The main duties of our customer service representative are to ensure the implementation of all sales and marketing programs for the entire WL portfolio, take customer orders, fulfill information requests, answer technical questions, and serve as the primary contacts for customers. CSRs perform their job using a variety of platforms including the telephone, email, a customized online tracking and ordering system and in-person visits.
Minimum requirements
​• High School diploma or equivalent.  BA/BS preferred.
​• Typing speed > 30 words per minute.
​• Proficient in Mircosoft Excel/Word/Powerpoint, Google Doc & Calendar
​• 1 – 2 year prior customer service experience preferred
​• Possess a professional phone manner and the ability to work independently
​• Ability to interface with various levels of management
​• Spirits, food & beverage industry, a plus.

Packaging Technician

White Labs is seeking a hardworking, attention to detail oriented, independent worker for the position of Packaging Technician. The main focus of this position is to contribute to the high-standard quality control measures involved with assembly and packaging of final products.  This person needs to maintain high sanitary standards throughout the preparation, set-up, and operation of the designated jobs, the ability to follow directions and work within a team environment.  Candidate would be responsible for performing basic routine bottling, labeling and other packaging processes within the established quality control guidelines of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), while maintaining high standards of cleanliness of work space, equipment, and materials at all times.
Principal Duties and Required Skills:
• Package commercial brewery orders and homebrew packages according to company standard operation procedures
• Maintain package quality control and integrity, including correct volume, concentration levels, yeast color, labeling, strain, and ship-to customer                                                                    
• Prepare and update brewery order reports and checklists                        
• Perform viability and cell counts on brewery yeast
• Perform accurate data entry for manufacturing inventory and tracking  software (YeastMan) and prepare Certificate of Quality for each commercial brewery order  
• Maintain accurate inventory of brewery and vial yeast and alert Yeast Lab Supervisor of any shortages          
• Concentrate yeast from larger containers as yeast is cleared from QC      |
Qualifications:
• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Prefer applicants with previous work in a laboratory manufacturing setting, using aseptic/sterile technique
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Google Drive & Calendar

Production Assistant
Full-time, San Diego, CA
White Labs Inc. is seeking a Production Assistant to assist production staff within the yeast propagation facility.
Duties include preparation of stock materials, washing & sanitizing production materials & lab ware, autoclaving materials, and aiding with weekly maintenance of production equipment.
Applicants may assist with pre-packaging for shipping department. Qualified candidates should be able to follow established written protocols, possess good manual dexterity. Trouble-shooting capabilities and knowledge of large-scale mechanical systems a plus.
This position will be in a warehouse environment, non-smoking with moderate noise and heat.
Some of this position’s responsibilities include:
• Follow established written protocols for general production tasks
• Washing production equipment and labware
• Help in the preparation of stock materials: malt, water, tanks, flasks, etc.
• Ready materials for autoclaving
• Autoclave production materials
• Sanitize appropriate production equipment
• Assist production technicians with fermentation processes
• Assist with weekly maintenance of production equipment
• Observe and report any malfunction of equipment in production areas
• Aid with final product assembly when necessary
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness
• Requires extensive use of hands, reach with hands and arms
• Requires standing/walking/bending throughout shift, lift and/or move up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend simple instructions, safety rules, procedure manual.
