Titratable Acidity

  • Purpose:

    Titratable Acidity is an approximation of Total Acidity of a solution. This estimate includes both associated and disassociated hydrogen.

    Titratable Acidity can be reported in terms of
    Tartaric Acid
    Malic Acid
    Acetic Acid


    The most common acid in wine is Tartaric Acid, therefore results will be reported in g/L Tartaric Acid.

    The most common acid in cider is Malic Acid, therefore results will be reported in g/L Malic Acid.

    The most common acid in kombucha is Acetic Acid, therefore results will be reported in g/L Acetic Acid.
