Introducing PurePitch Next Generation

Today is an exciting moment for all of us at White Labs. Our entire team prides itself on our constant push to innovate and improve, and in doing so we celebrate success that helps move the industry forward. From the industry’s first pitchable liquid yeast to a complete revolution in the way it’s propagated, our innovative spirit is tireless, and today I get to share that we’ve done it again.
 
Introducing PurePitch Next Generation, an evolution of White Labs’ PurePitch® – the most superior and consistent yeast on the market – made even better with new packaging for ease of use, and verifiable quality and consistency to help you make the absolute best beer possible.
 

A few highlights of the PurePitch Next Generation enhanced packaging: 

• New incorporated handles for ease of usage and storage.
• New more breathable, proprietary, dual-layer film, allowing more effective off-gassing and reduced package expansion for optimal yeast health. 
• New perfected pitching rates and online calculator at yeastman.com for custom recommendations to achieve perfect fermentation based on beer type, batch size, temperature, and gravity.  
• New 1.75L volume size, made to contain 2.15 Billion cells / mL, designed to pitch 5 HL at a rate of 7.5 million cells / mL.

 
While PurePitch Next Generation comes with lots of improvements on the packaging front, we’ve kept many key features from the original PurePitch that you know and love. PurePitch Next Generation is still grown using our patented FlexCell™ process that allows us to propagate yeast with no exposure to the environment, ensuring quality and purity in every package. 
 
Each PPNG package will also still feature the quality control data we’re known for – which now includes 38 quality checkpoints. With a new easily accessible QR code printed right on the packaging, you have on-demand access to strain and lot information, including precise cell counts, strain-specific details, quality control data, and usage instructions.  
 
PurePitch Next Generation is available today in the 1.75 liter size in two strains at yeastman.com and we will add more strains soon. We’re leading off with some of your favorites: WLP001 California Ale Yeast and WLP066 London Fog Ale Yeast.
